"Lunar City Development Research Center," the first research center focused on space-related studies, was established on May 1, 2025, integrating efforts primarily from the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (SANKEN), the Joining and Welding Research Institute, and the Graduate School of Engineering. To commemorate the establishment of the Lunar City Development Research Center, a commemorative symposium will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the SANKEN.
